HELLOWEEN arrives in our country in an event that is considered historic, the show that reunites the original members after so many years and that translates into a “Pumpkins United Tour”, next November 2 at Luna Park. An event that has in vilo to the specialized argentine press. We had the great privilege of having Mr. Michael Kiske give us a little of his tight schedule to respond. Without much preamble, he has the word.
N.C: What were the reasons why you decided to leave the differences aside: the fans, you who are older, pay homage to a historical record?
M.K: I just grew up. My view changed on many things, no hard feelings anymore and I can say that the pause time of 17 years was good for me.
N.C: Why did you decide to bring together the old and new Helloween? Speaking of band lineup, of course.
M.K: We decided together. Kai Hansen was talking about it more often. In 2013 I met Michael Weikath and we talked a lot and put aside all differences and discussed the idea about the United Pumpkin tour. Management did the rest and here we are.
N.C: What did you feel when you got together to rehearse the old songs while you were together after a long time? How did it feel to see each other again in your eyes?
M.K: It is feeling great. Funny enough I still knew all the words/lyrics. It feels good to be united again.
N.C: Quickly the news of the Pumpkins United Tour became a world news, that was published not only in the specialized press but also in the press in general. Do you expect this reaction?
M.K: I was hoping for ( smile). I think it is very interesting for all the fans and maybe it was a bit of a sensation when it finally became real, when they started booking venues and fixed dates for rehearsal.
N.C: Let’s Imagine … The Tour was over, it was a resounding success. You will shake hands and say “It was a pleasure, until forever” or it will be a “was a pleasure, see you soon”?
M.K: Ha, ha! time will tell. Too early to discuss anything.
